Hammer Home Fun At The Fair

The formula is easy: a handful of ladies, hammers, a board, and nails, but the outcome is always a fun time. The Rice County Fair starts today and runs through July 23, bringing plenty of fun, including the annual KDHL Ladies’ Nail Driving Contest!

The annual competition combines hand-eye coordination, speed and a touch of strength. The KDHL Ladies Nail Driving Contest will take place at the KDHL booth on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 4:40PM at the Rice Country Fair. In addition to being great fun and earning bragging rights, the contestants have a chance to win some really great prizes and, best of all, it’s free to participate!

This year, KDHL has made a few fun changes to the annual competition, which will add some new interest to the KDHL fair tradition. The KDHL staff is looking forward to once again hosting this fun fair highlight. If you are a woman older than 18, available at 4:40PM during the days of the Rice County Fair, and would like participate in the Nail Driving Competition, make sure to swing by the KDHL booth in front of the Sellner Memorial Stage to sign up!
