Once again this winter the Dairy Profitability Enhancement Program and the University of Minnesota Extension Service will be sponsoring a series of Winter Dairy workshops. The first will be held today (December 14) at the Scott County Extension office in Jordan. The topic is Maximizing Profit during Low Milk Prices. The presenter will be Brant Groen, director of wellness with Form-A-Feed. The workshop begins at noon today with light lunch and plenty of time for questions and discussion.

With the low milk prices this it is very timely topic. There is no cost to attend. Looking at the weather today there is not a lot you would want to do outside other than the normal chores, so why not head up to Jordan? They will never turn anyone away but if you decide you would like to attend, give Karen Anderson a call at the Steele or Rice County Extension office (507) 444-7691 or (507) 332-6109.
