The Land of 10,000 Lakes, The State of Hockey, or maybe it's The North Star State, no matter what you refer to Minnesota as it's really known to you and I as home. We either grew up here, moved here for work, or just went to school in the #BoldNorth. Minnesota has a lot going for it as there are dozens of museums, outdoor activities, and the Mall of America. Minnesota’s economy is relatively large, coming in at the 17th largest state economy by GDP. The state’s job market is going strong, too, with only 3.1% unemployment compared to 3.9% for the whole U.S. With all that going for us, we have to ask where is the best place to live in Minnesota?

Wallethub recently looked at 98 cities in Minnesota and ranked them on different criteria such as the number of attractions near-by, to median family income, to the quality of the school system. After they crunched the numbers the best place to live in Minnesota was...Woodbury.

For us here in Southern Minnesota, we had a pretty good top-25 showing with Lakeville coming in at #2, Farmington #8, Prior Lake #9, Rochester #10, and Owatonna at #16!

Faribault came in at #70 and Northfield came in at #54.

The question will be asked as to how can a city improve its score and attract more young families?
