The Depot, Faribault's Original Bar and Grill, is now solely owned by Chef Jeff LaBeau. After being co-owners, of this family friendly dining establishment for more than 24 years, Jeff purchased his brother Kenny's share on Wednesday, August 3. Jeff began working at The Depot when he was only 24 years old and has helped to create a place where family and friends can gather for a great food and to enjoy some of his signature dishes.

Nestled along the west bank of the Straight River at 311 Heritage Place, The Depot gives diners a glimpse into the past as this establishment, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, was once known as the Rock Island Depot. I can even remember going there as a little boy to see my Uncle Ron off to Vietnam.

The Depot is also the sponsor of a Whole Lotta Lunch, which airs noon-1PM weekdays on Power 96. Hosted by Kelly Krage, this hour is filled with double shots from your favorite classic rock artists. Power 96 wishes Chef Jeff good luck as the sole proprietor of The Depot Bar and Grill in Faribault.
