After the Blue Collar BBQ Pre-Party event was rained out on Friday, I wasn't sure what to expect Saturday morning. So I was glad to see a beautiful sunny day when I woke up and got ready my broadcast at The Ride at Faribault Harley-Davidson. Hosted by 1st United Bank. this annual event is in its ninth year and this year was raising money to benefit not only the area hospice programs and services but also to help out the Faribault Senior Citizens Center, the Hope Center and the United Faribault Foundation.

After setting up my sound equipment I decided to enjoy a delicious breakfast, catered in by Hy-Vee, along with Gordy Kosfeld. We finished up our meal and he visited with some of the people that we had sat near and I went to check out some of the nice vehicles that had shown up for the ride and the silent auction and bucket drawing items available.

Before I knew it, the time had come for the bikes to line up and head out on their 100-mile journey around the area countryside followed, about a half-hour later, by the classic vehicles.

Hopefully you were able to come out for this year's The Ride and we'll see you next year as they celebrate their 10th one.
