After a dreary weather week, we are finally to the weekend! The forecast is projecting some sunshine, but temperatures are likely to remain in the 50s, with a frost advisory overnight. Whether you choose to stay inside and stay warm, or add an extra layer and get outdoors, there are plenty of things to do in the area this weekend!

  • The River Bend Nature Center in Faribault will hold their 11th annual Maple Syrup Fun Run and Pancake Brunch event. Choose from a 5k, 10k, 50k Solo, and 50K Relay. For more information, visit RBNC.org
  • Help Stamp Out Hunger by placing bagged nonperishable food items by your mailbox before mail time on Saturday.
  • Start off your Saturday morning by getting your blood pumping! The Faribault Flyers, Bike, Hike and Ski Club are having community hikes at 9:15AM each Saturday in February and March. Meet at Bernie’s Grill parking lot or email Fboflyers@gmail.com for more information.
  • Senator Vicki Jensen will hold a meeting open to all constituents at The Coffee Shop in downtown Faribault from 1-2PM on Saturday. For more information, email vickij@senate.mn.
  • Saturday night will be a silent auction and beer bash fundraiser for Suicide Awareness at Reggie's Brewhouse in Owatonna from 4-9PM.

Have a great weekend!
