The weekend is here! This much-needed two days away from the daily grind also looks to bring unseasonable high temperatures (if I used emojis, I would insert all of the ones indicating joy, happiness and sunshine here), which means it is officially window-open weather. If you have a few open spots left on your schedule for the weekend, you'll be happy to know that there is no shortage of fun events going on in our area this weekend.

  • Friday evening get your fill of fish at the Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry from 5-7PM at the Knights of Columbus in Faribault.
  • Attend a Master Gardening program with Lisa Reuvers at Buckham Memorial Library on Friday at 6PM. There is no cost, but preregistration is preferred by calling (507) 334-2089.
  • The Paradise Community presents The Odd Couple Friday and Saturday at 7:30PM and Sunday at 2PM at the Paradise Center for the Arts.
  • Start off your Saturday morning with a hike! The Faribault Flyers, Bike, Hike and Ski Club are having community hikes at 9:15AM each Saturday in February and March. Meet at Bernie’s Grill parking lot or email Fboflyers@gmail.com for more information.
  • Charlie Sticha performs waltz, polkas, and country on Saturday at the Faribault Moose Lodge from 2-6PM.
  • Sunday morning with brunch at the Faribault American Legion for the Traveling Wall fundraiser from 8AM to noon. Menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and beverage.
