The summer days are quickly slipping away, but instead of moping about the impending cold weather, I'm trying to pack as much as I can in. If you're like me and want to find some fun this weekend, you'll be happy to know that I've rounded up many of the areas activities for the weekend!

  • On Saturday kick start your morning with a trip to the Farmer's Market at Central Park in Faribault.
  • From 11AM-6PM, you can swing by Fareway Foods in Faribault and get a taco in a bag. Proceeds will go towards offsetting medical bills for Ross Wilson.
  • Summer means sweet corn, and you won't want to miss the Hot Dog and Sweet Corn Feed at Milo Peterson Ford in Kenyon from 12PM-3Pm on Saturday. A goodwill donation will be taken and proceeds benefit the Kenyon Wanamingo Booster Club.
  • A benefit for Eric Wiese who was injured in a skiing accident will be held on Saturday at the Faribault Elks Lodge and will feature raffle drawings, live and silent auctions, entertainment, and a BBQ pulled pork supper.
  • Sunday clean your car at the National Honor Society car wash at Faribault HyVee from 10AM-3PM with proceeds benefiting the National Honor Society and the United Way.
  • Go for a cruise on Sunday with the 8th Annual Just For the Hope of It Bike Run benefiting the Hope Center.

Have a great weekend!
