The Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers have been steadily improving in recent years, and coaches around the state are noticing.

The latest Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association poll has the Bucs ranked sixth in Class A with their 12-0 record.

Most impressive is the fact they haven't even dropped a set to date, 29-0.

The Class A top-ranked and defending state champion Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals struggled early in the season, particularly with their passing in losses to Stewartville and Marshall, but coach Franz Boelter and his assistants appear to have settled down the troops.

The Bucs will bring lots of fans Tuesday so Van Orsow should be filled to the rafters.

The Gopher Conference battle for supremacy will be carried on Power 96 Radio 95.9FM and worldwide on power96radio.com. You can also listen by downloading the free RadioPup app and listening on your favorite mobile device.
