Owatonna's Todd Walkingstick bleeds purple. He is a big sports fan across the board, but the Vikings take him to a different level. He will be at US Bank Stadium Thursday night for a draft party, even though he knows the team might trade their first-round selection and merely be spectators themselves that night.

Walkingstick joined KRFO radio for a Vikings' update this week to discuss the challenging schedule that lays in wait for the defending NFC North Division champs. He is excited about the acquisition of Kirk Cousins at quarterback and the return of running back Dalvin Cook after a knee injury in this rookie season.

But for the business at hand, Walkingstick believes the Vikings need help on the offensive line after how much that unit was dominated by Philadelphia in the NFC Championship Game. He thinks to look at safety would be a good second move. Walkingstick believes another tight end might be a good third move, but adding quality depth can't be underestimated.

Round one is Thursday. Rounds two and three will take place Friday. The balance of the draft will play out on Saturday.

  • 1

    Offensive Line

Vikings' fan and season ticket holder Todd Walkingstick, like most other experts, believes the team needs to bolster its offensive line.

  • 2

    Safety

Walkingstick would like to see his favorite team find a good, young safety that can be an impact player in the future.

  • 3

    Tight End

When pressed for a third priority, Walkingstick said adding depth at tight end would be a good move. He believes that depth, in general, is so important for the rough-and-tumble league.
