Two different accidents Saturday morning at about the same time kept authorities busy in Rice County.

The first was reported at about 11:54 AM when a 1999 Ford Contour collided with a 2007 Harley Davidson Motorcycle at Highway 19 and I-35.

According to the State Patrol report, the Ford Contour driven by 24-year-old Ian Iaqquinto of Jordan, was eastbound on Highway 19 attempting to turn north on I-35; the Harley motorcycle driven by 40-year-old Robert Welsch of Lonsdale, was westbound on Highway 19. The Ford turned left in front of the motorcycle and the vehicles collided in the intersection. Iaquinto did not have any injuries. Welsch was reported to have non-life-threatening injuries.

Around the same time at least three vehicles were involved in a crash on the on-ramp from Highway 19 to northbound I-35. Rice County deputies were on the scene as well as the Northfield fire department and ambulance. No other details are available at this time.
