This Just In — TV News Anchor Advocates NOT Watching TV
In this day and age it’s not that hard to survive without any television services. You can get almost everything you need online. From Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and YouTube you are able to watch just about anything you want, and with Apple TV or Chromocast, you can watch it on your television set. That being said, you probably don’t work for a TV station.
I have gone without TV in my home for a year. No cable, no nothing. Reflecting on what that has been like for the past year, it hasn’t been that big of a deal. My life is not missing anything because I can’t watch the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians or watch Law & Order: SVU marathons all day. I do miss the Food Network though. I keep up with news on my phone, and the obvious, at work.
Not having TV has forced me to get creative with how I entertain myself. I LOVE the library. I get movies, shows and documentaries from there. So yes, I am watching some form of TV, but I’m not glued to the TV guide. Not having TV has really saved me money too.
Not having TV is not the end of the world, and I think anyone can survive without it.
As expected, the comments started rolling in pointing out the hypocrisy of the post. Sarah seems to have gone in to panic mode and is trying to justify her decision.
Here’s a link to the actual post, but just in case it gets deleted, there’s also a couple screen captures of some of the discussion.
