The Faribault Falcon girls basketball team travelled to Rochester tonight to face the Panthers and found themselves down 31-7 at the half.  The final was 59-27 and 23 points off turnovers was the key stat of the game.  Faribault came into the contest tied for fourth in the Big Nine in defense in terms of points allowed per game.  The problem has been scoring.  Averaging less than 40 points per contest puts them firmly in last place in the Big Nine in that statistical category.  Jenna Wetzel was the only Falcon in double figures with 10 points.  Wetzel and senior Cecelia Hake were our State Farm Faribault Agents Faribault players of the game.  Hake didn't score, but had a number of rebounds in the game.  Faribault hosts Henry Sibley Saturday night at Nomeland Gym and Gordy Kosfeld I'll have the call on FCTV.
