I hope everyone had a great Halloween, either going out trick or treating or handing out candy to all the the little ghosts, goblins and superheroes that showed up at your door.

I was able to go out trick or treating with my grandchildren and we started our evening at the Peace Lutheran Church's Trunk or Treat. The parking lot was ringed by decorated vehicles that the children were able to trick or treat at and also take part in games for prizes. There was also a costume contest for various age groups throughout the event, a bouncy house, hot cocoa and the Kona Ice truck. The turnout was great, as far as I could tell, and the line of trick or treating kids moved along at a nice pace. My grandkids left with a bucket full of candy and some great memories.

When we got home we all went out and trick or treated at some of the homes in my neighborhood. Thankfully the light mist that had started late in the afternoon had dissipated before we went out for our evening fun.
