The Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights didn't take much solace in playing tougher against the Triton Cobras in a Hiawatha Valley League Blue Division game in Kenyon tonight.  In their two previous meetings in Dodge Center the Cobras won by 24 points and 38 points.  The score tonight was 46-34.

Triton led 28-21 at the half and Kenyon-Wanamingo rallied to within 5 points midway through the second half.  But a missed layup that would have cut the lead to 3 was followed by a 5-0 run by the Cobras and the game never got closer.

Triton was led by 5'10 senior Brady Essig's 11 points and 6'0 senior Nick Roussopoulos added 10 points.

Kenyon-Wanamingo was paced by 6'0 senior Jack Beulke's 13 points and 6'4 senior Sam Ringham added 10 points.  They were our Held Bus Service Knights of the game.

Neither team shot free throws very well.  Triton was 5 of 12 and Kenyon-Wanamingo 3 for 9.

The Knights 1-9 in the H-V-L and 1-19 overall travel to Goodhue Friday and the Cobras 3-4 in league play and 8-9 overall are at Cannon Falls.

KDHL will be broadcasting the Goodhue at Kenyon-Wanamingo girls game Friday.  Our coverage is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
