Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall Coming to Faribault Details on AM Minnesota 9-25-2015
The Traveling Wall comes to Faribault next year and we will get all the details from members of a committee working on the project.
Co-chair Virginia Van Sluis is the daughter of a World War II and Korean War veteran and is chairwoman of the Veterans Committee of the Faribault Elks Lodge #1166. She is also chairwoman of the Minnesota Elks Metro District Veterans Committee.
Kirk Mansfield is a Core Team member of "Traveling Wall Faribault 2016." Mansfield is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during Desert Storm from 1986-92. He is a member of the Faribault American Legion Post 43, VFW Post 1562 and Sons of the American Legion Squadron 43.
Jim Douda is a Core Team member of "Traveling Wall Faribault 2016." Douda is a U.S. Navy Vietnam-era veteran, serving six years from 1968-74. Douda worked for McQuays, currently Daikin, from the mid '70s until retiring at the end of last year. He is active with the Legion and 40&8 and is a member of the VFW and DAV.
