Friday evening the Travelers Club from Faribault visited KDHL studios. It is always fun when groups ask for a tour. Many times it is a Cub Scout group. To get one of their badges they have to tour a radio station. They are kids in maybe first grade and they always get excited when I record them on the computer and play it back so they can hear themselves. They normally lose interest after that. It is their parents that are more interested in what happens at a radio station.

The Travelers Club from Faribault has been meeting for more than 100 years. When I heard Travelers Club I thought it was a group that traveled the world and then at meetings members described where they had been. That has happened as members have been to China or Africa, but really Travelers Club refers to traveling in Faribault. They explore Faribault and they travel to someone's house for dessert. Many of them are retired, but not all of them are. What a delightful and fun group. By the way, if you know of a group that would like to see a radio station and what we do behind the microphone, let me know. I would be happy to schedule a time.
