Owatonna, MN (KROC-AM News) - Motorists are being told to expect some delays caused by brief traffic stoppages on Highway 14 in Owatonna tonight.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the stoppages will occur as crews set bridge beams on westbound Highway 14. The work will also impact eastbound Highway 14 as trucks deliver the beams. The work, which will take place east of I-35 and west of Steele County Road 45, will begin at 8 pm and is scheduled to be completed by 4 am Thursday.

There will be four stoppages for the beam placements, each lasting about 15 minutes.

The work is part of a nearly $30 million project started last year to replace four bridges on Highway 14 and eight on I-35 in the Owatonna area.
