It's no secret Trace Adkins was a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice long before Donald Trump took over the Oval Office. At a recent music showcase in Nashville, Adkins revealed that Trump's daughter Ivanka is a big fan of one of his classic hits.

Before diving into a performance of his No. 1 hit, "Ladies Love Country Boys," Adkins shared a story from the first time he was on the competition show in 2008. The cast was in the midst of doing press for the new season when Ivanka walked into the room, capturing everyone's attention. "And she saw me and she just came straight at me and I was like, 'Oh my God, she's coming right over here to me,' and she leaned over and whispered in my ear, 'Ladies Love Country Boys' is my favorite song.'"

"When I heard it, I knew it was a hit," Adkins says of the track co-penned by Jamey Johnson, which topped Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart after its 2006 release, giving the singer his second No. 1 single.

Adkins came in second place on the seventh season of Celebrity Apprentice, losing to British talk show host Piers Morgan, but came back for round two, winning All-Star Celebrity Apprentice in 2013 and raising more than $1.5 million for his charity of choice, the American Red Cross.

His new album, Something's Going Onhits shelves on March 31. Its first single, "Watered Down," goes to radio on March 13. The country singer is set to embark on a cross-country tour in support of the new album starting Saturday (Feb. 4) and continuing through the summer before wrapping up Aug. 18.
