Toys R Us in its bankruptcy reorganization plan has decided to close 182 stores nationwide, including 4 in Minnesota. A number that represents about 20% of their stores.

If they can get some better lease arrangements in some locations, some stores may stay open. Going-out-of-business sales are scheduled to begin in February and be completed in April.

The Company is also planning to convert a number of locations into combined Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores.

Toys R Us is another of a series of chain stores(Macy's, J.C. Penney, Sears, Kmart) seeing a  decline in business in their brick and mortar stores and more folks going to online shopping.

The four stores to be closed in Minnesota are:

Minnetonka 14100 Wayzata Blvd. MN

Blaine 170 89th Ave. MN

Woodbury 8236 Tamarack Village MN

Richfield 900 West 78th Street South MN
