If you only watched the NBC broadcast of the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, you surely missed one of country music's best moments. If you tuned in late, you missed two others.

This Top 5 Moments from Sunday's 2018 Billboard Music Awards includes Maren Morris, Kelly Clarkson (twice), Sam Hunt and Mason Ramsey. Yep, Walmart Boy makes the list, and trust us, he deserves it for creating an impromptu new duo that's probably going to be the next viral sensation.

Clarkson was host, performer and social justice warrior on a night that celebrated the top musical accomplishments of 2018. Early on she called for action, not silence after the most recent school shooting. Her mashup of hits set the tone for a throwback kind of night that included performances by Salt-N-Pepa, En Vogue and Janet Jackson. There was not a true country music performance, but Morris had a chance to shine singing her song "The Middle" with Zedd. Hunt also took the stage — the "Downtown's Dead" singer was the only country singer to accept an award during the three-hour telecast, winning for Top Country Song.
