Tonic Sol-fa will be at the Paradise Center for the Arts in downtown Faribault this Friday with a show at 7:30 p.m.  Paradise representatives stop by the KDHL AM Minnesota program today to talk about July events at their facility.  Tonic Sol-fa started at St. Johns University in the St. Cloud area and have risen to national prominence.  The group has been on the NBC Today Show and been featured in Newsweek magazine.

Recently the group were part of the 30th Anniversary Celebration of A Prairie Home Companion.  They are one of the most sought after vocal groups in the Midwest so it's pretty cool they are in Faribault this Friday.  Remember you can purchase tickets online at www.paradisecenterforthearts.org

I'm sure we will also get details about another upcoming musical engagement at the Paradise.  Memphis and the Meantimes Tribute to Grand Ole Opry and Sun Records.  The event is Saturday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Songs during the event will be featured that were hits for Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Merle Haggard, Jerry Lee Lewis. Elvis Presley and many others.

Memphis and the Meantimes feature a 9-piece presentation.

Tickets for Tonic Sol-fa and Memphis and the Meantimes are $18 for members, $23 for non members and $12 for students.

If you can't listen to the show in the morning remember we provide a video of the program by mid-afternoon the day of it's airing at www.kdhlradio.com under the AM Minnesota tab.
