It has been a busy couple of days heading over to Farmfest near Redwood Falls. Today is the final day of Farmfest. In the Forum Building this afternoon it is the Farm Family of the Year Program. For a number of years I have had the honor of helping introduce the Farm Families as they come across the stage. I heard yesterday that families from 70 counties are planning on coming to Farmfest. This program is sponsored by the University of Minnesota Extension service. Gov. Mark Dayton is going to be there, along with the president of the University of Minnesota.

There have been many different forums in the Wick Forum Building. Wednesday afternoon I moderated a panel on the decline in the public perception of agriculture. It is fun to be involved! By the way, my Monte has gotten me back and forth to Farmfest for two days. It is exactly 200 miles round trip. I have averaged 29 miles a gallon!
