In recognition of the 25th anniversary of his first hit, Toby Keith has announced his Should've Been a Cowboy Tour XXV. The trek will keep Keith on the road throughout 2018.

Released on Feb. 12, 1993, "Should've Been a Cowboy" went on to become the most-played country song of the decade; it also helped earn Keith, the sole writer of the tune, a spot in the Songwriters' Hall of Fame in 2015. Keith penned "Should've Been a Cowboy" in a hotel bathroom, after one of his hunting buddies was passed over at a bar for a cowboy.

Keith's Should've Been a Cowboy Tour XXV, presented by Ford F-Series, will kick off in April and travel throughout North America. A complete list of dates is below.

Keith has gone quadruple platinum with two of his albums, Shock'n Y'all and Unleashed. Throughout his 25 years in country music, the singer-songwriter has ridden a consistent streak of Top 10 albums and celebrated 20-plus No. 1 singles. In 2005, he founded his own record label, Show Dog Nashville, which later merged with Universal South, in 2009, to become Show Dog Universal.
