The weather Thursday night brought either little to no rain or an inch or two of rain to the area. There were some severe thunderstorm warnings issued for around the Mankato and Nicollet County areas.

Most notable of the evening though was that the National Weather Service reported that there were several tornado warnings issued and several funnel clouds sighted. The NWS also reported couple of radar-indicated tornadoes reported in Stearns, Meeker and Kandiyohi counties.

Silo and barn damage was reported by law enforcement officials in parts of Lincoln and Yellow Medicine counties.

Even though there is a chance of more showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through the weekend, no severe weather is expected at this time.

Here are a few rain gauge reports that were called in:

  • Warsaw, 2.1 inches
  • Truckers Inn, 1.4 inches
  • Hunts Lake area, 1.2 inches
  • East side of French Lake, 1 inch
