The Faribault Lakers will have three players representing the team at the Dakota-Rice-Scott versus River Valley League All-Star game Thursday in Prior Lake.

Jack Helgeson has been chosen as a pitcher. Joe Grote is a shortstop. Mitch Johnson has been a utility man for Faribault. He has played in the outfield, at second base and done some catching. Johnson is listed as an outfielder and catcher on the DRS All-Star game roster.

Faribault High School graduates Nate and Nick Rost will also be on the DRS team, representing the league leading New Market Muskies. Nick is a third baseman and Nate is listed as a DH and first baseman.

The oldest player for the DRS All-Stars is 38-year-old Dustin Steinhoff of the New Prague Orioles. He is listed as a first baseman and DH. There are seven 20-year-olds on the team, including Cole Pint from Lonsdale.

Montgomery's representative is Johnny Krocak.

DRS coaches are Greg Faue of Prior Lake, Dick Steinhoff of Shakopee and Jerry Plambeck of New Prague.

The River Valley League won last year's game 10-4 in Montgomery and has won six of the previous nine games.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for kids 13-18. Those 12 and younger pay nothing.

The game starts at 7:30PM at Veterans Field in Prior Lake.
