When I was in the Dam Days Parade line up, I noticed this police car. It was in front of the parade with the color guard. Roger Schroeder from Northfield was with the car and told me it was the Thin Blue Line Memorial Vehicle. On the trunk were the names of all the peace officers in Minnesota who had died in the line of duty. It was actually the squad car of a fallen peace officer.

Schroeder gave me his card with the mission statement on it. The primary mission of the Thin Blue Line Law Enforcement Memorial Vehicle is to represent Minnesota's faller officers who have died in the line of duty. This representation will serve as a constant reminder to the public at large of the sacrifices made by peace officers and their families. I looked at all the names of fallen peace officers on the trunk and there were two from Rice County, Deputy John Liebenstein and Deputy Terry Hanson. If you are having a parade or some type of community celebration and would like to include the Thin Blue Line Memorial Vehicle, contact Roger Schroeder. His cell number is (507) 403-1139 or learn more at tblmemorialvehicle.com.
