This past weekend there was a huge neighborhood garage sale going on near my parent's house. So, of course, I had to go see if I could snag some good deals! So I met up with my parents and we headed out on a 2-hour garage sale-ing spree. Yep, there were so many garage sales happening we were out for two hours. But it was so worth it, I found so much stuff for $11.50, and some of it was even for my wedding coming up this year!

But at these garage sales you are bound to come across things that you don’t really need, but at the same time, you really do need them. If you’ve ever been to a garage sale, you know exactly what I’m talking about. I’m always a sucker for decorations for my favorite holidays: Halloween and Christmas!

So I am here to warn you about the one thing you need to know before garage sale-ing this year. It's not the 5 stages of grief, but the 5 stages of garage sale-ing:

THE PEP TALK

"I will not buy anything excessive this time."

FINDING SOMETHING YOU DON’T NEED

"Ohhhh these little Halloween decorations are so CUTE!!"

REALIZING HOW CHEAP EVERYTHING IS

"Holy moly, they’re so cheap! I can’t NOT buy them!"

TRYING TO TALK YOURSELF OUT OF IT

"No, I don’t need more Halloween decorations. It’s not even fall yet."

GIVING IN

"Yes, yes I do need them! Take my money!"

So now we are proud owners of these adorable Halloween candle holders! Oops! They were only a quarter each and look at their adorable faces!
