The Holidays Have Hit SE Minnesota– At This Coffee Chain At Least
It may only be the second day of November, but the holidays have officially arrived in Southern Minnesota-- at one coffee chain, at least.
If you just can't wait to get your holidays on here in Faribault, there's good news for you-- a big, national coffee chain has unveiled their 2018 holiday drinks and cups, and they're on sale starting today.
That's right, if you're a coffee drinker, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas-- at Starbucks, at least. This Insider.com story says Starbucks is kicking off the 2018 holiday season today by offering six festive limited-time drinks.
Their holiday line-up this year includes Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Gingerbread Latte, Eggnog Latte, and my own personal favorite, the Peppermint Mocha. (This is the 16th year the Peppermint Mocha has been on their holiday menu, so I guess I'm not the only one whose favorite it is.)
Starbucks also unveiled the designs for their holiday cups this season, which are also back starting Friday. And, yes, they're actual designs this year-- unlike last year, when the cup was only red, leading some people to wonder if the coffee chain was trying to somehow downplay Christmas.
Not this year, though. This Today.com story says this year's holiday cups include a "'Stargyle' sweater cup, a two-toned red cup, a 'Flora' cup with berries that represent both holly bushes and the coffee cherry plant, and the 'Espresso Houndstooth' cup."
