It is hard to imagine 60,000 blue jackets in one place, but these pictures will give you some idea. The sessions were held in the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, which is where the Indiana Pacers play. Safety of FFA members is a top priority of any city hosting the National FFA Convention. The city of Indianapolis closed this street to traffic between the Fieldhouse and Convention Center and renamed it FFA Way. Thousands of FFA members would be walking back and forth on this street multiple times each day of the convention. All these blue jackets bring a lot of economic activity to the host city. Kristy Meyer, the communications director for the National FFA, told me the convention generates about $32 million of economic activity for the host city!
