Taste of Elegance at Pork Congress

Pork Congress is next Tuesday and Wednesday at the Minneapolis Convention Center in downtown Minneapolis. The Annual meeting of the Minnesota Pork Board will be Monday morning and in the afternoon the annual meeting of the Minnesota Pork Producers Association. Remember the Minnesota Pork Board annual meeting is open to all pork producers that paid into the check-off. The Pork Producers Association is open to all pork producers and stakeholders that voluntary paid into the association.

The Taste of Elegance will be Monday evening. I have never made it to this event but it is on my "to do list." The Taste of Elegance is a culinary competition for Minnesota's best chefs to show off their pork cooking skills. In 2018 the first place was taken by Chef Jeff LaBeau, Depot Bar and Grill in Faribault. Second place and Best Table Display was Chef John Van House, Mayo Foundation House and third place Chef John Van House Grand Casino.

The reason I would really enjoy going to the Taste of Elegance is because everyone is allowed to sample the chef's entrees.
