Country singer Suzy Bogguss is going to be at the Dakota Jazz Club in the Twin Cities on May 8, and she is going to be on KDHL's All Request Middays Show on Thursday at 10:15AM.

Since her debut album in 1989, Somewhere Between, she quickly became one of the artists who defined 1990s country. In her bio on her website, she has a lot to say about one of here favorite artists, Merle Haggard. Here is a quote from Bogguss about that: "Merle's songs were on the 8-track player in my dad's car. Saturday nights when I would drive around with my friends, this was a part of our soundtrack. Back when country music talked about real adult problems and how we deal with them. We felt like we were eavesdropping on the secret lives of our parents," Bogguss says. "Merle's songs feel familiar... and slightly dangerous."

So listen on Thursday. We will talk about where she's been, what she's up to and what's to come.
