State-Ranked Northfield Baseball Sweeps Faribault
The Faribault Falcon baseball team went into Thursday's doubleheader with Class 3A sixth-ranked Northfield with just one win, but nearly captured the first game and led in the second.
Northfield got a homer from junior Hunter Koep and solid pitching performance from senior Cameron Gray to win the first game 2-1.
Nic Zabel picked up the win in the second contest for the Raiders in a 9-3 victory. Gray tallied 10 strikeouts in the first contest.
Faribault had the bases loaded in the sixth with nobody out and did not score in the first game. The Falcons will play Waseca on Saturday in Waterville on Power 96 Radio.
The game time has been changed to 2PM so we will begin coverage about 1:45M.
