This year marks the 200th anniversary of our National Anthem and it was penned by Francis Scott Key on September 13-14 in 1814.  Our guest Diane Carey is a NY Times bestselling author several times over with more than 50 published books, including the Star Trek series.  Her latest book is entitled "Banner."  We'll discuss the times Key lived in, the man and probably hear a little bit about Mary Pickersgill, the Baltimore businesswoman who made the flag Key saw flying over Fort McHenry on the morning of September 13 that inspired him to pen his song.  That flag by the way can be seen at the Smithsonian in Washington, DC.
