According to the Star Tribune, a 32-year-old man has been arrested after a standoff with police in the Elko New Market area. Police received a report of an intoxicated male firing a gun into the ground.

When the police arrived, they were told there was a 7-week-old child inside with the man. The tactical team used a robotic device to search the residence. An adult male was found sleeping on the couch and the child was reunited with her mother unharmed.

The man was arrested and is at the Scott County Jail on suspicion of second-degree child endangerment and gross misdemeanor domestic assault. The investigation continues.
