St. Patrick Overcomes Shaky Start In Win
The St. Patrick Irish had a tough start in their game with the St. Benedict Saints, but still won handily 11-4. A dropped ball in the outfield led to a big first inning for the Saints. Josh Simon picked up his 7th win of the season while scattering 9 hits and the Irish cranked out 15 hits. St. Patrick tallied 3 errors and St. Benedict 2 with a great crowd on hand including a number of the Faribault Lakers. St. Patrick hosts Faribault at 8pm Thursday in Elko. The winner could do no worse than a second seed from the Region at state and obviously could end up Region champion which means a bye in the first round of the State Tourney at Jordan and Belle Plaine.
