St. Olaf Opens Under The Lights Saturday

The St. Olaf Oles will be at Northwestern of Roseville this Saturday and help them open their new stadium in the Eagles first-ever night game!  That's right.  Kickoff is 7pm on KDHL Radio.  Roy Koenig will be joined by Mark Gelle to bring you the action throughout the 2014 season.  There will be features about other programs on the St. Olaf campus during halftimes of the games.  The Oles are coming off a tough season and want to flush that out of their system right away.  There are 22 freshmen on the roster for second year Head Coach Craig Stern.  Junior Quarterback Nate Penz threw for nearly 25 hundred yards last season while tossing 17 touchdowns.  Gone are super receivers Stephen Asp and Jake Schmiesing.  The cupboard isn't totally bare with Joel Reinardt (6'0 190 Jr. Eagan) back after catching 32 balls last year.  The top two rushers are also back for St. Olaf, Juniors Connor McCormick (6'0 200 Caledonia, Mn. and J.J. Strnad (6'1 225 Palo Alto, Cal.) .  Coverage will begin about 6:40 Saturday night on KDHL 920AM.
