South Central College President Dr. Annette Parker has been appointed to the external Advisory Board for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Task Force on Work of the Future.  In February , MIT launched it's institute-wide Task Force on Work of the Future to understand and shape the evolution of jobs during an age of innovation.  The Task Force includes experts from throughout MIT examining the relationship between technology, work and society.

In a News Release MIT President L. Rafael Reif is quoted, "We must proactively and thoughtfully reinvent the future of work."  The external Advisory Board for the MIT Task Force on Work of the Future includes a select group of leaders from industry, academia, labor, government, foundations and other organizations.  In his invitation to Dr. Parker to join the Advisory Board, Dr. Reif pointed to her, "deep engagement and informed perspective on this topic."

Dr. Reif and Dr. Parker both served on the National Advanced Manufacturing Partnership 2.0 study.

"It is an honor to be among this tremendous group of leaders who will provide guidance on this important and innovative initiative established by MIT," said Dr. Parker.
