Whether the 'SNL' shakeups of season 40 have truly come to a close or not, this Saturday will see 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'Parks and Recreation' star Chris Pratt kicking off the premiere in Star-Lord style. Feast your faces on seven-full minutes of promo goodness, as Chris Pratt takes the 'SNL' stage for the first time!

Joined by Kate McKinnon (who seems curiously relegated to fawning over the male breakout star, but who wouldn't?), the first official 'SNL' season 4 promo runs a whopping 7 minutes, as both players do everything in their power to play up the anniversary season and musical guest Ariana Grande. Of course, there's also the requisite 'Guardians of the Galaxy' references, as well as a series of pickle jars for Pratt to open, but that was always to be expected, really.

Most recently returning Darrell Hammond as a replacement for the late Don Pardo, as well as adding comedian Pete Davidson as a featured player and Michael Che as a new Weekend Update Host, 'SNL''s 40th anniversary season will see season 39 addition Mike O'Brien returning to the writer's room, complimenting the departures of fellow freshmen Brooks Wheelan, Noël Wells and John Milhiser.

Following Pratt's September 27 premiere hosting duties will be comedian Sarah Silverman and Maroon 5 on October 4, and alumni Bill Hader/Hozier on October 11. Additionally, Jim Carrey has been rumored to host an early episode this fall, likely in promotion of November sequel 'Dumb and Dumber To.'

You can check out the entirety of Chris Pratt's 'SNL' season 40 premiere promo above, and tell us what you want to see from this Saturday's season opener!
