A Good Car is Hard to Find

Lynn and the crew at Wholesale Tire in Faribault give my slightly used car a little tender loving care. Yes, it might get abused and used as a truck. This is the car I have had 25 50-pound bags of seed in or 40 gallons of herbicide and 600 pounds of AMS. It has been a great car with a little over 293,000 miles on it. I have had routine repairs like starter, water pump, brakes, tires, tune up, battery and ball joint, but never anything serious with the engine or transmission.

While the car might get abused once in a while I get it in to Wholesale Tire religiously for oil changes and routine maintenance. They look it over and we repair whatever is needed. I remember cars in the 1970s that you were lucky to get 100,000 miles on before they were ready for the junk yard. This shows how far car companies have come in designing a better vehicle. It also shows how long a car can run if you do the normal maintenance like oil and fluid changes. How long will it run? I am hoping for 325,000 miles!
