If you know the song "Shriner's Convention" by Ray Stevens, you know they like to have fun and do things for people. In reality they maybe don't get as out of control as Ray indicates, but they work hard to do great work in their communities that they are based.

They were founded in 1870. They were originally known as A.A.O.N.M.S. That stands for Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. They are known for the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, the red "Fez" hats they wear and many times they are driving motorcycles or tiny cars in parades.

This Saturday they invite you to a fun day of golf at Havana Hills Golf and Range as the Owatonna Shriners have their annual Family Fun Day. The Hours are from 9AM to 7PM. You can maybe win some prizes as you help the club raise money so they can do their great charity work. You can get advance tickets from any Shriner, at Kottke Jewelers, Costas Candies or at Havana Hills on Saturday.
