Talk about a cabin fever buster!  Thursday night on KDHL the top ranked girls basketball team in Class 2a will host the second rated team in the state in that class.  Defending state champion and top ranked New Richland Hartland Ellendale Geneva clashes with Kenyon-Wanamingo.  the 9-0 NRHEG Panthers are averaging 85 points a game and only allowing 35.  The Knights are also 9-0 and score 66.8 points per game while giving up 49.  NRHEG features 5'11 Senior Carlie Wagner.  A phenomanal athlete who can run like the wind and jump like a kangaroo.  Wagner was the high jump champion in track last spring and will be a Golden Gopher in the fall.  Kenyon-Wanamingo has no superstars.  They are simply a well balanced team that has some height and quickness.  Typically they like to play an uptempo game, but that plays right into the hands of the Panthers.  Gordy will have the call from New Richland on The MIghty 920.  He's more excited than a boll weevil in a cotton field.
