Great Heritage Days Parade!
Even with the heat and humidity, tons of people turned out for the Heritage Days Parade in Faribault. We quickly found out that the large amount of candy we had brought was not enough for all the kids. But we were early in the parade this year so I am sure many units after us had candy.
Class AAAA Title Game is Monday at Target Field
Minnesota Twins draftee Seth Halvorsen led Heritage Christian Academy to their first state title with a 16 strikeout performance on the mound and two homers and 4 RBI at the plate. Halvorsen became the fifth player in Minnesota history to have two home runs in a championship game.

The National Weather Service says Saturday rains should move to the north around midday, and then heat and humidity will return to the south.
Lakeville North Class 4A Consolation Champ
The Lakeville North Panthers won the Class AAAA Consolation Championship with two wins today after their tournament opening heart breaker. The Panthers were evidently locked in because they breezed by Eastview 10-0 before defeating Wayzata 8-2.
Great Community Lunch
The crew at Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault did another great job on the community lunch. I tried the ground up meat and added some BBQ sauce and it was great. Carly had the sloppy joe. And of course they had a super selection of desserts as you will see below.
