Downtown and all Faribault is going crazy! That’s right, Faribault Crazy Days is coming up July 29 and 30 and there are a lot of amazing deals to be had, plus family fun! More than 30 businesses are participating, making it a great time to get out and do some shopping in Faribault!
It’s Music Monday! Every week I share something with you that I am currently listening to and think you might also enjoy. Sometimes it might be an old tried and true favorite, other times, something I have just discovered, and occasionally, it might be a listener suggestion. Stop back each week to see what is being featured!
At the Power 96 and KDHL studios, we love seeing our listeners win stuff! Outside of playing great music and keeping you current on local news, giveaways are one of the best parts of radio, and right now, you can win some awesome stuff!
The annual Night to Unite event in Faribault will be the evening of August 1. Formerly called National Night Out, the event hopes to bring communities together. Each year, there are typically more than a dozen registered parties throughout Faribault. The block parties will each receive visits from local law enforcement members, city staff, and several elected officials. The block parties often involve kids games, inflatables, face paint, and grill outs or pizza, and the chance to get to know your neighbors.
Bragging rights to make any car enthusiast green with envy and one ridiculously huge, custom made, one-of-a-kind trophy specially crafted for the second annual Faribault Main Street Car Cruise Night Car Club Showdown are all on the line August 18 from 6-9PM in downtown Faribault, but car enthusiasts were treated to the unveiling of the trophy on Friday night!
The Rice County Fair is underway, and if you are looking for a toe-tapping time, or a cold beverage, the place to be is the beer gardens, which has no cover charge. There are plenty of fun things to do, both free and paid, including the entertainment in the beer garden if you are of age.
The loss of a coworker is difficult. It may not be a family member or close friend, but it is someone you see on a daily basis, and their loss can be a difficult time for the entire company. One Faribault business handled the loss of a member of their team in an admirable way.
The formula is easy: a handful of ladies, hammers, a board, and nails, but the outcome is always a fun time. The Rice County Fair starts today and runs through July 23, bringing plenty of fun, including the annual KDHL Ladies’ Nail Driving Contest!
