Heat Advisory And Flash Flood Watch
A heat advisory is in effect for much of south central Minnesota and now a Flash Flood Watch is out for Mille Lacs-Kanabec-Sherburne-Isanti-Chisago-Wright-Hennepin-Anoka-Ramsey-Washington-Dakota and Goodhue counties.
Great Heritage Days Parade!
Even with the heat and humidity, tons of people turned out for the Heritage Days Parade in Faribault. We quickly found out that the large amount of candy we had brought was not enough for all the kids. But we were early in the parade this year so I am sure many units after us had candy.
Rain Moving Out Then More Heat
The National Weather Service says Saturday rains should move to the north around midday, and then heat and humidity will return to the south.
Great Community Lunch
The crew at Trinity Lutheran Church in Faribault did another great job on the community lunch. I tried the ground up meat and added some BBQ sauce and it was great. Carly had the sloppy joe. And of course they had a super selection of desserts as you will see below.
More Pain For I-35 Users

Hwy. 19 Bridge To Open Friday
All lanes of hwy. 19 west of Cannon Falls are going to open to traffic on Friday June 15th at 5 pm, as construction to rehabilitate the bridge over Prairie Creek is completed.
