The Rochester man accused of murder made his first court appearance Thursday and allegedly told authorities the shooting was over a stolen watch.

The judge ordered unconditional bail for 19-year-old Courtney Ocegueda set at $1 million, and bail with conditions was set at $500,000.

Ocegueda is accused of shooting 22-year-old Trumane Gillmore to death and injuring two others.

Ocegueda was arrested early Tuesday morning after a standoff in Faribault and faces two counts of second-degree murder, one count with intent and one count without Intent; two counts of premeditated first-degree attempted murder and two counts of not-premeditated first-degree attempted murder with intent.

The criminal complaint says Ocegueda fired 15 shots in the street outside the Parkside Mobile Home Park in southeast Rochester on Monday afternoon.

The two men injured in the shooting were arrested Thursday and charged with aggravated robbery.

Police say 20-year-old Demonterious Jackson of Rochester and 18-year-old Jerome Zachary of Chicago robbed Ocegueda of a watch worth about $250 before the shooting. According to the criminal complaint, Ocegueda told investigators the shooting was retaliation for the robbery and that Oak Terrace is his area.

Police say Ocegueda's watch was on Gillmore's wrist at the time of his death.

Faribault Pollice Chief Andy Bohlen and Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn appeared on Thursday's AM Minnesota program and talked about the Tuesday arrest. They noted there are no turf wars between their departments and they enjoy doing whatever it takes to get the job done.

Dunn says the Faribault police were a great help during the investigation into the murder of Chelsea Martinez of Columbus, Ohio, this summer and they were happy to assist with Tuesday's arrest along with a SWAT team from Dakota County.

Bohlen added they didn't want to awaken residents of the 500 block of First Street Northwest while negotiating with Ocegueda to come out of the house he was in. Those negotiations lasted about two and a half hours before SWAT team members shot tear gas into the home and Ocegueda came out without resistance.

The 19-year-old Rochester man's next court appearance is set for Sept. 23.
