River Bend Nature Center Featured on AM Minnesota 4-25-2014

River Bend Nature Center of Faribault Director of Public Programs Josh Sweet will stop by the studio for a visit about events going on in the natural gem on Faribault's east side.  This Sunday is the Maple Syrup Fun Run and Pancake Brunch.  The Fun Run includes a 10K trail run, 5k trail run and a one mile walk around the prarie.  The Pancake Brunch features pancakes with River Bend's own, handmade maple syrup, sausages, orange juice or coffee and milk.  The Brunch is 10am to 1pm.  The picture below is of a Dwarf Trout Lily with average bloom from early April to early May.  It only grows in Rice, Goodhue and Steele Counties in Minnesota.  The picture is from River Bend where you will find more details on their website www.rbnc.org.
