River Bend Nature Center announced today that it has set a goal of $80,000 for its first Kids in Nature Campaign. The center hopes to raise this money by the end of 2015 to help fund environmental and outdoor education programs at River Bend. Executive Director Ben Van Gundy said in a press release, "the last few years we have ended the year with a budget deficit and we want to make sure that does not happen again."

The Richard Carlander family will match donations up to $10,000 and the State Bank of Faribault is providing $1,000.

River Bend Nature Center provides environmental and outdoor educational programs to more than 8,500 children and 5,000 adults from Northfield, Faribault, Owatonna and the surrounding areas every year.

You can donate by sending a check, using your credit card or you can go online to rbnc.org/donate.
