Rice Lake State Park will be hosting a Candlelight Ski, Snowshoe and Hike on Saturday, February 11. Hours will be 5-8PM.

This is a free event, but you will need a vehicle permit to enter the park and also a ski pass. Both of these will be available at the park office.

The evening will consist of either a half-mile or one-mile trail for skiers. Hikers and snowshoers will be able to use a separate half-mile trail. Snow shoes will be available for rent in the park office.

Treats and hot beverages will be available at the park office. There will also be a warm up shelter and bonfire located at the trail head.

Participants are asked to check in with the office before beginning their outdoor adventure. The weather is calling for a cooler weather on Wednesday and Thursday, which should help preserve the snow pack. Temperatures near 40 on Friday and Saturday shouldn't be high enough to put a damper on the fun in the snow and it should make it a little more comfortable as well.
