Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn told KDHL Monday his investigators could use some help in determining what happened during a shooting early Saturday that left four people injured.

Dunn said they really don't know how many people were even at the party, with reports ranging from 200 to 500 people.

Deputies and officers located a female victim with a gunshot wound to the upper torso at 4870 Elmore Ave. The victim was identified as Heather Nery, 23, of Rochester.

Nery was treated at the scene and then airlifted to a trauma center where she was initially in critical condition.

A Rice County deputy located a vehicle northeast of the residence and upon stopping the vehicle discovered two male victims with gunshot wounds to their lower extremities. One was airlifted from the scene and the other was transported by ground ambulance to a metro area trauma center.

The two men were identified as Anthony Shannon, 26, of Robbinsdale, Minn., and Montez Brown, 24, of Minneapolis.

A fourth victim with a gunshot wound to his lower torso checked himself in to a Burnsville hospital later Saturday and was transferred to Regions Hospital in St. Paul for more treatment. He was identified as Henry Brown, 45, of Brooklyn Park, Minn.

Dunn says the elder Brown was released from the hospital.

The initial investigation revealed three vehicles sustained some gunshot damage and more than 20 spent shell casings were located.

The sheriff says, "Innocent people were put in harm's way by the actions of some in attendance at this gathering."

He added, "Our investigators are actively following up on information learned up to this point," and said they could use assistance, "from attendees of the gathering or anyone from the general public who has information to assist us in our investigation, including anyone with audio or video evidence of the altercation or shooting."

The Rice County Sheriff's Office phone number is (507) 334-4391.

The sheriff indicated during our conversation that they aren't getting much help from the shooting victims at this point.

The location where this occurred in Webster Township is a gated property with a lot of woods around.

I swung out and took a picture of the entrance to give you an idea of what investigators are dealing with.

This property is about 21 miles northwest of Faribault.
